Training Constellations with Symptoms and Illness

Stephan Hausner

'The most worthy basis of medicine is love', Paracelsus

9 days, three modules of three days each, in February, April and September 2010
Bert Hellinger Instituut Nederland, Groningen, the Netherlands

Introduction
There is a growing interest in looking at symptoms and illnesses in a systemic way. Although we are still at the beginning of gathering insights in this field, the time seems ripe to explore the multiple dimensions of illnesses from a systemic perspective. Constellations offer a ‘method’ where patients can see new connections related to their illness and find support in the process of self-healing.

Stephan Hausner collected over the years many insights of how to apply the systemic approach to create an atmosphere where (self-) healing is possible.
Now he offers a training with the following goals:

Bibi Schreuder of the Dutch Bert Hellinger Institute will be the organizer of this training. As co-trainer she will support the participants in their process of learning.

Guest Clients
During all the modules guest clients will be invited (for the morning sessions). Stephan will work with these guest clients, and then we will reflect on the constellation, the interventions and the images behind the interventions.

Peer groups
We strongly recommend that in between the modules participants practise in peergroups. There will be time in the modules to bring in supervision questions from the peer groups.

Content of the training
Since this will be the first training of this kind, inevitably it will be a co-creating process of the trainer and the participants. During the training program you will be offered the basic theory and techniques enabling you to facilitate constellations with health issues.

An important part of the training focuses on the attitude of the facilitator towards health and illness and his or her beliefs in what can be healing. Part of the training will be practical work in small groups.
